Welcome to Lori Lane Personnel Services
To aid you in your employment with Lori Lane, we've included some policies and suggestions on this page that will help make your employment transition a smooth one. Should you have any questions that are not addressed here, please do not hesitate to contact your Lori Lane representative. Whether your tenure with us is long or short, we welcome you and look forward to working with you.
Timekeeping
Federal and State laws require Lori Lane to keep an accurate record of all time worked by our employees. Time worked is all the time actually spent on the job performing assigned duties. Your Lori Lane representative will give you a blank timesheet for each new job assignment. You should record the hours you worked at the end of each day. Round off the total hours worked to the nearest quarter hour (i.e., .25, .50, .75 or .00). If you do not work a particular day, place an X in the space.
At the end of the last working day of each week, you and your supervisor must verify the time recorded on the timesheet and sign in the spaces provided. You should keep one copy of the timesheet for your records and give one copy to your supervisor.
Before we can pay you, we must have your approved timesheet. If your timesheet is not accurate or is not signed by your supervisor, or is otherwise incomplete or late, your paycheck may be delayed.
Payroll Processing
We must receive your timecard no later than 10:00 AM on the Monday immediately following your last working day of the prior week. If we do not receive your timecard by 10:00 AM on Monday, your paycheck may be delayed. You can fax your timesheet to us, mail it, or drop it off at our office. If you chose to fax your timesheet, please also mail the original (white copy) timesheet to us for our records. Additional timesheets for the following week will be included with your paycheck.
Payday
Payday is Friday. Paychecks may be picked up anytime after 12:00 PM on Friday. If you would prefer to have your paycheck mailed to you, please inform your Lori Lane representative. Paychecks are mailed on Thursday.
Please make sure we have your current address.
Tardiness and Absenteeism
If you are going to be late for an assignment or if you need to leave early on a particular day, you must give us at least twenty-four hours advance notice so we can inform our client. If you are going to be absent due to an illness or any other reason, please contact your Lori Lane representative immediately so we can make other arrangements. Likewise, if you are going to resign from your position or assignment, you must give us at least a one-week notice of your intentions.
Communication
When your Lori Lane representative and/or the supervisor of the job gives you instructions, listen carefully. Take notes and ask questions.
If a misunderstanding arises, or if there is any aspect of your assignment that you do not understand, please call your Lori Lane representative.
When your job assignment ends, please contact us to provide feedback, and to check on availability of your next assignment.
